Narrative Poem - Butterfly

“Narrative Poem “

Butterfly

Mary was a butterfly with green and black wings,

Then she was caught with a net and some strings,

And was put into a cage,

Mary was angry so she shook with rage,

And the cage flew open so Mary was free.

Free Verse Poem -Grass

"Free Verse Poem "

Grass

The grass grows at our feet,

It surrounds us when we’re out,

It turns its head towards the wind and when the wind stops blowing

It will stand there very still.

Limerick Poem -Fawn

"Limerick Poem"

Fawn

I once had a small fuzzy fawn,

Whose fur was the color blond?

She would stand there all day,

Wondering if you could come play,

The thing was she couldn’t respond!

Lyric Poem -- Too Busy

“Lyric Poem “

Too Busy

I think I’m very busy,

Because sometimes I get dizzy,

Sunday I invented a soda that was fizzy,

On Monday I’ve got piano and two hours of dance,

On Tuesday I have a project due about France,

On Wednesday gymnastic and swimming in the cold,

Thursday I’ve got theapothea and I turned bald,

Friday I got better and I returned to class,

On Saturday I wondered when I was playing bass,

If I could go on vacation and a very long rest!

Piano

Piano

My piano is really big.

I have one at my house; you can play high or low notes,

Legato or stacuto notes.

Some notes are loud, some notes are soft.

My piano is black & white.

I love my piano.

Watauga Lake - Boating -Pontoon

Watauga Lake, your northeastern Tennessee retreat, where
 “Beautiful Water Touches the Sky.”

Whether you desire the solitude of long mountain hikes,

or the thrill of white water kayaking,

there are no better mountains anywhere than those

surrounding Watauga Lake Retreat,

where beautiful water touches the sky.
