Dear performers,  (Lynne Chen) 

We are so excited that you will be auditioning for Shooting Stars, 2009. Thank you for sharing your talent with us as we prepare to host another great show. Now, in its eleventh year, Shooting Stars is a wonderful way for you to gain experience performing for professional judges and a large audience, and on a big stage, it is also a fun way for the Watauga Education Foundation to raise money so we can fund special classroom projects that make learning fun for your fellow students.

Unfortunately, not everyone who auditions will make the show, but please know how much you have impressed us all, with your hard work, just to audition for Shooting Stars. Many of you have been through multiple auditions to get to this point. You have practiced and prepared and we want you to know that even if you aren’t on stage the night of the show, YOU ARE A STAR, to your family, to your teachers, to your school and to the Watauga Education Foundation. We are proud of what effort you have made to be here.

So again, we are thrilled to have you audition for Shooting Stars 2009.

音樂劇 / 查理布朗，你是好人

You’re A Good Man,Charlie Brown

在1999年的東尼獎裡面獲得「最佳重演音樂獎」、「最佳導演」和「最佳男女配角」等四項入圍的「查理布朗，你是好人」，可以說是過去這三十多年以來最令人愉快的百老匯音樂劇之一。它是根據查爾斯休茲著名漫畫「史努比」改編而成的，由克拉克蓋斯納一手包辦歌詞和劇本，1967年三月推出，成為六○年代最長壽的音樂劇之一，下檔之後巡演足跡遍及各地，甚至美國各大學院校和中學也都一再地自行演出。它把漫畫主角「查理布朗」一年四季一再發生的喜怒哀樂，濃縮在一天裡面，從情人節到棒球季、從狂野的樂天到無比的絕望，跟其他角色如無比自負的露西、醉心音樂的許洛德、甜蜜純真的佩蒂、永遠離不開毛毯的萊諾斯等等，緊密的結合在一起。這次重新推出，由音樂顧問安德魯李帕添加了部分新歌，再度造成轟動。輕鬆流暢的旋律、加上幽默雋永的詞句，保證讓您返老還童、忘卻一切煩惱！

Lynne 此次扮演的角色就是醉心音樂的許洛德...
